Pour the flour onto the work surface giving it a circular shape with a cavity in the center. In the cavity combine the sugar, lard, grappa and eggs. Then start working the dough with your hands. |

Once you have an elastic and homogeneous mass, roll it out with the help of a rolling pin until it reaches a height of about 3 millimeters. |

With a pastry wheel cutter, making sure to use the serrated part in case you have the model with both smooth and serrated blade, cut out from the pastry sheet many rectangles of equal size. Make a cut in the center, again with the serrated part of your pastry wheel cutter. |

Cook the crostoli in boiling peanut oil until golden brown on both sides. |
